Family Constellations in Beirut, with Olga Safa: an experiential, systemic approach to the hidden family dynamics, recurring patterns, relationships, and unresolved experiences that may influence how we feel, relate, and move through life. Sessions run in person in Qoraytem and online, one-to-one or in a small group.
The sessions create a safe and confidential space to look at these patterns from a different perspective, gain clarity, and explore new possibilities. You do not need to arrive with a diagnosis or a tidy story. Sometimes, simply recognizing that a pattern keeps repeating is enough to begin.

What is Family Constellation therapy?
Family Constellations, sometimes called systemic constellations, was developed by the German psychotherapist Bert Hellinger and is practised worldwide through bodies such as the International Systemic Constellations Association. The premise is simple: we belong to a family system, and that system carries loyalties, losses, exclusions and unspoken rules across generations. When something in the system was never resolved, a later member may carry it without knowing why.
A constellation makes that system visible. Representatives, or floor markers in a one-to-one session, are placed in the room to stand for the people and the forces involved. What emerges in the space is often surprisingly clear, and the facilitator follows it rather than forcing an outcome. It is not talk therapy, and it does not replace medical or psychological care. It is a way of seeing, and of letting something that was stuck find its movement.
Ideal for exploring
- Relationship and family dynamics
- Repeating patterns across generations — the same loss, illness, separation or silence
- Feelings of guilt, responsibility, or not belonging
- Money and success-related patterns
- Difficult relationships with a parent, partner or child
- Life transitions and personal decisions
- Situations where you feel stuck and cannot say why
- Ancestral burdens — see Ancestral Healing for the deeper work on inherited trauma
Session Formats
Individual Sessions
A private, one-to-one session focused entirely on your personal situation, using floor markers or objects in place of representatives. One to two hours.
Group Sessions
A shared experience where participants can explore their own questions or take part in another person's constellation as representatives or observers. Group work can offer a powerful perspective through the collective experience while maintaining a respectful, confidential, and non-judgmental environment. Clients regularly report that healing reaches the representatives too, not only the person whose constellation it was.
Online or In Person
Online: convenient and accessible from anywhere. Individual and group sessions can be conducted through video calls using simple tools and objects to facilitate the process. Many of Olga's online clients join from the Gulf and the Lebanese diaspora.
In person: a more physical and immersive experience, particularly suited to group constellations and participants who prefer working directly within a shared space. In-person sessions take place in Qoraytem, Beirut.
What to Expect
Identify your intention
We begin by clarifying what you would like to explore. A sentence is enough.
Explore the dynamics
Through guided constellation exercises, we look at the relationships and patterns involved.
Gain perspective
The process can reveal new ways of understanding your situation, and often a resolving movement.
Integrate the experience
We reflect on what emerged and how you may take it forward. Shifts tend to keep unfolding in the weeks after.
You don't need to know exactly what is wrong or have all the answers before starting. If you would like to read what others experienced first, the client stories page collects them, and the FAQ covers the practical side.
